Extremely compact, these metal silencers reduce exhaust noise level with minimal impact on motor size (virtually none in the case of the mini silencer).
They also provide protection against any foreign object entering the motor via the exhaust port. However, be mindful of the maximum possible flow rate, beyond which motor performance will be affected (torque and speed).
